Welcome to the first episode for this series! Yes, violence against women unfortunately has always been a very dire issue in the world, in the US. For some reason, a number of men choose to harm women, and your co-hosts are exploring WHY. What in the world have women done to men to make them hate us so badly?? It is no secret that the white (majority of the time) patriarchy and white supremacy fuels a lot of hate for women. Over the next few episodes, Lyzeth and Martina are going to go deeper, they want to understand how did men get to this point, and how women are constantly dismissed at every turning point in history and beyond.

Your wonderful co-hosts are self-proclaimed introverts - so let’s talk about it! Being an introvert is not about social anxiety or not liking people (not all the time anyway). It is about energy or the drain of how social interactions can be for introverts. Workplace office culture is already consuming but when you’re an introvert, you’re exhausted by the end of the day. Introverts need to recharge! During the COVID lockdown, we all heard, “check in on your extroverts friends,” but no one is told to “check in on your introvert friends”, ever. TAKE THE TIME TO UNDERSTAND YOUR INTROVERTED FRIENDS!

Come on back for part 3 as your fav co-hosts discuss women being alone - especially as us millennials are getting older. Let’s normalize women being alone, not having kids, and having a meaningful life regardless. We all know that the Bible speaks on being “fruitful and multiply”, which works for many, but some women are looking beyond and deciding to make their own decisions in their lives. Let’s change the tide, stay out of a grown woman's business.
WOMEN ARE TAKING CONTROL OF OUR BODIES!

Welcome back to part 2 of this very interesting conversation around chivalry(or the lack thereof). Your fav co-hosts are exploring safety, specifically women’s safety. Immediately locking your doors, not parking next to unmarked vans, always being aware of how you SHOULD dress around men are some of the things women have to worry about on a daily basis.
Tune in to listen just how creepy the world is for women and young girls - especially women of color in this white supremacy patriarchy world. WOMEN ARE NOT TO BLAME!

Did you know that modern gynecology and neonatal procedures and methods were discovered on the slaves of black women and children? This week’s conversation focuses on how women are often discounted when they have medical issues - particularly WOC and plus size women. For centuries women’s pain has always been considered less than because of patriarchal systems. Unfortunately, if you’re not white (or a white man), you are thought of as less in America, even in receiving basic healthcare.

This week Lyzeth and Martina dive into the deeply rooted white supremacy history of the American healthcare system. From W.E.B. Dubois’ “The Philadelphia Negro” to statistics release 2018 stating that “...black women die 2 ½ times more often than white women in pregnancy-related deaths”, we’ve had the same conversations, with minual change, for over 119 years. Will sustainable change ever come?

Join your lovely co-hosts as they continue the healthcare in America discussion - from their perspectives! Listen as they open the conversation discussing safety net hospitals in Chicago, and oftentimes how the investment is not being put into those hospitals. As they bring their real-life health experiences, you’ll hear them discuss even if you have the wherewithal, navigating the healthcare system is still difficult.
