The ₱10K budget is a good starting capital, in my opinion and basing on my personal experience as well. Back in December 2018, when I started investing in stocks, I spent around ₱9,818.67 for ‬three stocks namely: Emperador, Filinvest and Megaworld. I bought these stocks without looking at their value history, financials, dividend history, 52-week lows/highs, etc. I solely based my purchase from my sentiment about these familiar companies/brands. I've been throwing around the term capital gain(s) a lot from my previous videos and I never had the chance to share the definition with you guys. If you want a consistent and reliable income stream from the stock market, then preferred stock is for you! Although it doesn't present a big capital gain upside/potential, it can give you a respectable return on your money while beating inflation. This investment vehicle is way better than your money just sitting in your bank account.

It's not looking good for the market as the PSEi dropped almost 150 points yesterday. This is due to the announcement from the Malacañang that it's possible to tighten the quarantine measures again in Metro Manila. This is not good for businesses, especially the working class as most of them won't have pay without working. I hope that if ever another strict quarantine is applied, the government shifts its focus to more mass testing as that's the only way the quarantine will pay off.

Opportunity cost is a concept that I always use every time I make decisions. I got it from my economics professor back in college and I believe it is a very useful tool. It makes your decision making much easier and it would allow you not to dwell or regret any actions you take in the past.

Also, the market is booming but being cautious about your next move wouldn't really hurt. Yes, the economy is getting back at it again, however, there's no certainty if this will be sustainable. We'll have to wait and see how these everyday activity affect the number of cases we'll be having in the next few weeks/months.

Overall, the Philippine Stock Market has been thriving this week. The PSEi has reached a new high again today closing at 6,517.49, up by 271.84 points or 4.35%. The total turnover came up to ₱10.83B, which is also a high for this week. I think this trend will continue since the investor sentiment is pretty good even though we still have to be on lookout for new coronavirus cases on a daily basis as well as new developments on the anti-terror bill.

Yesterday was a good day for the Philippine Stock Market as gainers (127) has overtaken the losers (63), while 37 stocks remained unchanged. A total value of ₱6.38B was traded and the PSEi closed at 5,930.17 which is up by 91.33 points or 1.56%. I'm pretty sure your stock watch list is also a bit greener yesterday. However, we should all still proceed and invest with caution as nobody can tell if this trend will go on, especially now that more people are exposed to contract the coronavirus as NCR is observing GCQ, which started yesterday. Remember to always look out for yourself and for others.
