Although being a pestie for some time, James has only bought into the Termitrust business fairly recently but being as driven as he is, has grown it rapidly. We get an insight into owning a Termitrust franchise and what pest management is like in the central NSW region.

This episode we chat to Jeff Futcher Branch Manager at Flick Port Macquarie. Jeff has been a pestie for more than 25 years but we hear how he was absorbed into the Flick brand from an acquisition 8 years ago and has loved his journey since. We hear about the opportunities and experiences this role has provided him, from growing the Darwin branch to his time as Branch manager in Mackay, and Northern NSW. We hear about his recruitment strategies, his team management strategies and the differences in pest management cultures within the various states he has worked.

This episode we chat to Mark Brown from Envirapest Perth Western Australia. A previous Pest Manager of the Year winner who along with his wife Rhiannon has built a successful pest management business which also includes a big percentage of weed control. We chat about the benefits of including weed control as one of your services, millipede control using traps and nematodes, spraying equipment and of course the pest management culture in WA. This is a business that has truly competed on service rather than price!

This week we chat to Daniel Joseph from Platinum Pest Control based in Launceston Tasmania. Daniel runs a very profitable pest business in a not so lucrative part of Australia. We hear how he maximizes his time as an owner operator by using a call center, survives the winter slump, markets his multiple business identities, his love of bees and we get an insight into pest management in Tasmania. This podcast is ideal for the single operator pestie that struggles to find that balance between a successful business and still have a life! It's been a long road but Daniel has just about nailed it and found that sweet spot!

This week we chat to Gavin Hutton from Pest Aid in Adelaide South Australia. Gavin is also the Australian distributor for Flowzone Knapsack sprayers. Gavin's original business EcoPest was one of the first significant business's acquired by Flick, so we talk about that and how he has also acquired several small pest business's to help bolster his current business Pest Aid. Definitely an episode for those looking at selling or buying another pest business!

To kick our 2nd season of interviews off we chat to Nick Peebles from Certified Home Inspections in Brisbane Queensland. Nick along with his wife, dad, mum and brother run a successful pest business with a focus on pre-purchase inspections along with some other unique services. We also chat to Nick about his time in Darwin and some of the feral animal control work that he does. Definitely a very cool episode, where we could have kept on going and still kept it super interesting!
