-It takes roughly 3,500 'excess' calories, that's the calories above someone's regular diet that maintains their current weight, to gain a pound of fat. 

-You would need to drink nearly 30 glasses of white wine and 40 flutes of champagne above and beyond your normal diet to gain one pound of body fat.
