October 21, 2018The rise of technology strategyUnderstanding a technology is potential disruptive is one thing. Getting it to that stage is another. The directory container of the file group is given before. I am recognizing it as a media release and it requires marketing and a trailer for it. I am still surprised by what has been done even at this stage. The use of music is really challenging my understanding. October 21, 2018Podomation Update - 24A multifile pod cast and a bug is caught. The scripting file was being added to leading to a very long (and big) podcast file. A simple intialization fixed this up. Recorded en route to the next village, and I keep meeting people along the way. Finally while processing this file I discovered I had recycled a key holding file that holds the redirect from podcast apps. October 19, 2018Experimental Synthetic QuizJust the standard run of bugs. Fortunately I am in the right position to knock them over. If you rush and don't put in return points or checking code you can get lost for hours. So minor typos going into audacity flow on to blank file names scrambling the concatenation. I must admit I did't get to the bottom of it not being happy with where I was putting files: I just went back an mothered a working subroutine. I will still have it send composition bug reports when it is not up and running. I have the basic directory architecture working so the podquiz will be in a podpackage including a PDF of the answers. Here is the first 6 question pilot program that goes for 1 hour. Compresses down to 20 megabytes. http://lessonpeer.com/drhillteach/BBB.mp3.mp3 The bottom line is that the recall required is really up there and really good rehab....more0minPlay

October 19, 2018First synthetic quizThe structure from recording through to Audacity to the Labview is relatively straight forward. The player I have written has some glitches so some parts are dropped for some reason. I have some 200 files lined up an just can't seem to squeeze through FFMPEG. It is a real skill to record these questions in the first place, so really good therapy. October 18, 2018New Scientist 6 Oct_3Giraffe spots seems a dubious angle to judge a thing as complex as evolution. There is orcas muching on PCBs but again I think the logical links as explained by the article is pretty thin. There is a large article on the space station and the sabotage and it brings to mind my experiences working with international science and the really odd mixture of culture and mental health. So many double pi splint bonds. I add a few cooking tips from some one who has no idea. I have to work on the sound quality as I now am walking carrying weights.
