July 19, 2019Molecular tour of KaptonThis was the plastic of choice for Apollo 11, but also for lots of aircraft and everyday electronics like transformer winding. I just really love the stuff as it can take high temperature. It is the go to material if you are building any sort of point or line heater. I think I should be coated with the stuff when they bury me. At any rate strap in for the molecular tour as the atoms are arranged in my head and I give you the audio tour. July 19, 2019Internet of Things - ProgressThere are tucked away in the recesses of Arduino and Wget commands that actually make IOT work, but they are not advertised and the internet support forums don't highlight them. I think it is because people are not trying to get end to end generic solutions or something. Due to a mishap you have the good old periodic table recall at the end. I think the problems are so old that and the solutions so used that they have become embedded as features of the two languages, and as they are text languages the solutions are like thinking of a new word and splicing it into a dictionary for the user to find.
