The Newcastle Knights have appointed a respected administrator and player in Peter Parr to the role of Director of Football.

The experienced Parr has held positions with the Cowboys and Broncos and with this new appointment he returns to the city he grew up in.

"I was impressed with what I heard," say Parr.
