    • Joy and Beauty are Within + a Meditation

Finding joy and the beauty of life is like a game of hide and seek. In today's episode, I look at this idea in light of the spring holidays. After a talk, I take us to meditation class, where I continue the theme and lead a meditation on the elements and our breath. Enjoy!

    • Brett Larkin's Yoga on YouTube

Brett Larkin studied at ISHTA Yoga in 2005 where I had the pleasure to be one of her trainers. She describes what went from using YouTube as a way to memorize her own sequence into a career as a beloved online yoga teacher.

Today, Brett has more than a quarter million subscribers to her YouTube channel. She won Youtube’s “Next Up” award as one of the top emerging Youtube channels of 2017. Plus, she’s the founder of Uplifted Yoga, a private online yoga and meditation community empowering students to personalize their practice and ignite their best life - on and off the mat. She’s authored over 4 yoga DVDs and instructed at top studios, companies like Google and Pinterest, and on retreats around the world.

I had the chance to hear some of Brett’s history since I saw her last, and to get her advice for teachers interested in the online world.

    • Staying Balanced as Life Cycles + a Meditation

In this episode, we head to meditation class. I start with a talk about the cyclical nature of our world and how to remain balanced as life is going up and down and back and forth, seemingly throwing us every which way!

Then we have a meditation practice. If you decide to do the practice, feel free to exit any time you feel uncomfortable. Massage your legs and feet if you need to calm down.

During the meditation, I play a little of the sound of rain from last year when we were in France. This year we're headed to Portugal for a retreat — stay tuned, but put a pencil note in early August!
