The last week and a half in America has been tragic but insightful.  We are now forced to face up to the two Americas: one white one black.  The duality of freedom and oppression, respect and brutality, indifference and social justice

We always write music and we foretold the danger of electing Donald Trump with our 2016 Album "Something Wicked"  where the title track spoke this truism:  "Something wicked this way comes... T.R.U.M.P.....

We discuss the political electronic songs in this set starting with "American Carnage"

PEG  talks to London Post Punk Rockers  South Drive

Bio:

Formed in 2016 in South London, we released our first EP, Nothing's Wrong, later that year. The summer of 2017 saw us play shows in cities across the South of England, including Plymouth, Bristol, and London. Since then we have undergone a line-up change, acquiring a new guitarist who has been massively influential in our writing process, seeing the band develop a new, more focused sound. In December 2019 we released our first ever single, which was very well received, followed up by our second EP(The self titled South Drive) in January 2020, which we regard as our best work to-date. We bring a youthful energy to a stage, with intense gigs being fun for familiar audiences and new fans. FFO: Green Day, Kaiser Chiefs, The Kooks.

PEG Interviews Canadian Electro Grunge Trio  “Hot Lips”

Bio:

Hot Lips is an electro-grunge trio composed of Karli Forgèt (vocals/synth), Alex Black (bass/vocals) and Keith Heppler (drums). After drumming in a multitude of indie rock projects, Forgèt utilized her musicianship and song writing on vocals and synth to form Hot Lips in 2016 with Heppler and Black. Gaining a strong underground following from energetic and engaging live shows, the band has secured supporting slots for Rob Zombie, Michale Graves of the Misfits, 3Teeth, MONOWHALES, Econoline Crush, Rusty, Crown Lands and Swollen Members.

Hot Lips released their debut EP ‘American Hardcore’ in 2017 which resulted in radio play in Germany, the United States and the United Kingdom in addition to domestically. Their unique sound is the result of synthesizers, a bass guitar and drums exclusively.
