It took until overtime, but the Eagles get a big divisional win over the Washington Commanders on Sunday afternoon, winning 34-31 on a clutch Jake Elliott 54 yard FG. Washington had no answers for AJ Brown who dominated the Commanders secondary for 175 yards & 2 TD's. Jalen Hurts played his best game of the season thus far. Geoff previews the Thursday Night home opener at the Linc between the Eagles & Vikings. The Eagles defense will be without starting LB Nakobe Dean (IR-foot), Safety Reed Blankenship (concussion) & cornerback James Bradberry (ribs). Offensively the Eagles will be without starting RB Kenneth Gainwell (ribs). So the Eagles will have to rely on rookie safety Sydney Brown & Terrell Edmunds at safety and Josh Jobe at cornerback against an elite group of WR's & TE in Justin Jefferson, Addison & Hockenson. This will be a big challenge for the Eagles backups at key positions. Christian Ellis will start in place of Dean and Nicholas Morrow LB was called up from the Practice Squad.
