Paul understands that they may have been a loss of finances as a result of Onesimus running away from Philemon. Paul stands in the gap for these two men. Paul acts as an intercessor. Finally he wraps up the epistle by letting Philemon know that others are aware of this situation. Reconcilation is a communal process.
