At Woodside Wildlife Rescue in Mississippi, orphaned baby raccoons get far more than food and shelter. They receive hands-on training in the skills needed to survive in the wild, helping them transition from abandoned kits into self-sufficient raccoons before they're released back into their natural habitat.

Supporters say it's necessary to maintain roads, sidewalks, and public transit after Measure C expires, while opponents contend county leaders should return to the drawing board and craft a different proposal.
