Paul pleads with the church to make sure selfish attitudes do not sneak their way into the church and steal our closeness and joy. In Philippians 2:1-11, Paul illustrates how the attitude that we have about ourselves plus our view of the cross is what will crush our conceit and cause us to embrace our need for humility.
