Philly Take with RB: A Philadelphia 76ers (Sixers) Podcast

Tyrese Maxey balled out yesterday as the Philadelphia Sixers defeated the Dallas Mavericks by a final score of 95-73 in their first Summer League game. As a 20-year old getting ready to begin his 2nd season in the NBA, he already looks like a potential future superstar. Should Daryl Morey use him as a bargaining chip to try to attract a star like Damian Lillard, or should we let him continue developing in our system? #Sixers #TyreseMaxey #DamianLillard #NBANews

According to Derek Bodner of The Athletic, the Philadelphia Sixers have kept an eye on Damian Lillard this entire offseason and their goal is "less to trade Ben Simmons and more to acquire Lillard." The Portland Trail Blazers recently failed to recruit Kelly Oubre Jr., and it doesn't seem like they will be able to land any other players before the season to help Lillard. In other news, the Sixers summer league starts tomorrow and a lot of young talent will be on display. #Sixers #DamianLillard #NBANews

In an interview with reporters at the Olympics on Friday, Damian Lillard said the Trail Blazers weren't able to get some of the guys they had hoped for in free agency. As someone who has been non-committal to the team and their future, it is obvious that this will only make things worse. And it is now the perfect time for Sixers GM Daryl Morey to get aggressive and make a trade for him. #Sixers #DamianLillard #NBANews #NBATrade
