The Phoenix Lights or what some call the Lights over Phoenix was a mass UFO sighting over the city of Phoenix, Arizona on the night of March 13, 1997. Debunkers ran wild with conspiracy theories of flares dropping from the sky while Governor Fife Symington put on a joke press conference complete with an actor dressed in an alien costume where he made fun of the people who had reported the sighting.
