When this show was broadcast live, the main channel at Chew.tv just…didn’t work. Did Phooligans give up? NO THEY DID NOT. Phooligans sought out the video feed at periscope.tv/thechewbradio and facebook.com/thechewbstation and had a great old time. It means worlds to Phoole that Phooligans persevere in the face of tech annoyances and convene to enjoy each other’s company and the Phoole & the Gang music and funtimes, no matter what. Two hours of intensely-felt beautiful tunes and also some crazy times. We seem to spend a lot of time in the Phooliverse enjoying rhotacism, a speech difference in which a “w” sound is substituted for an “r” sound, and this show is no exception. Django & P-Bass explain to Phoole the Alfred Hitchcockian origin of the film quote, “I successfuwwy genewated a pawwot on a scween,” of which Phoole is inordinately fond. Phoole forgets to turn the mic on at one point, but she promises she didn’t say anything interesting; this segement’s audio is magically repaired on the Mixcloud and HearThis.at versions. IT’S A GOOD SHOW, PHOOLIGANS, and that is because of you. Thank you.

Phooligans were SUPPOSED to remind Phoole to not start drinking absinthe an hour before the show starts, but clearly that responsibility has been abdicated, or was improperly assigned, because DANG. Over two hours of electro-swing and chap-hop herald the new year! We count down to the new year despite it not being New Year’s Eve or midnight because WE DO WHAT WE WANT. BLUE MILK. Tonight’s recipe was one part blue curacao to three parts Evan Williams’ whiskey-laden Egg Nog, because of Star Wars AND Xmas seasons coinciding. This recipe is HIGHLY EFFECTIVE. Phoole mysteriously evades trainwrecking and is beyond delighted to debut new sounds from The Tribe of Good and the amiable ol’ Mr. B the Gentleman Rhymer, who wrought some audio treatlets just for this little show!
