Sam Raimi and Wes Craven provided us with two unique visions of a Horror/Comedy. Raimi and friends put their spin on possession and zombie movies. Craven makes his attempt at social commentary, bringing the weirdness of his earlier films like The Last House On The Left and The Hills Have Eyes to the 1990’s.

Join us on this lovely Star Wars Day for a different kind of space movie and an early masterpiece from a director who has made several movies about space creatures. First up is John Carpenter’s student film Dark Star, working from a earlier draft of what would ultimately become Dan O'Bannon’s script for Alien. John Carpenter directs this weirder, sillier space tale. After that we rediscover Steven Spielberg’s first masterpiece. A white knuckle thriller that still holds up 51 years later.
