PiCast Episode 99 - Whedoncon 2018

What a weekend at WhedonCon 2018! So many friends attended, old and new! This is the #1 fan Con out there, plus it is for charity. This year the Con was raising money for the Wooten Center and the Lupus Foundation of America.

Where to begin? We were on a panel at this con for the first time and Scott won “Most Creative” in the Cosplay Contest! It was a good time!

The baby was a little fussy, but they are long days for the little guy. Didn’t stop him from being the cutest little Captain Hammer on day and from enjoying a dip in the Warner Center Marriott Pool another day!

The special guests at Whedon con are truly special! They hang out with the attendees and you get to just enjoy time with the stars of your favorite fandoms like nowhere else! At Whedoncon there are private events that are even more intimate, photo shoots and meet and greets and even Game Night! Wonderful Q&A panels with Guest of honot Sean Maher and a Q&A with James Marsters who performs a Concert with his band and even came back for the Darn Good Shindig the next night!

If you are in any way a fan of the Whedonverse, you need to get to this con!

As for this episode of the PiCast, it is #99! We mention a ton of friends and I won’t list them all here, but we love you all! Also be sure and listen to the end for the secret word. You can win a Whedon Related Prize. Also, we come up with an idea for a convention so amazing, you just have to hear for yourself!

If you were at Whedoncon, please call our voicemail and share your experience! Our next episode is #100 too! Help us celebrate. Call in with your favorite moment or a topic for a future episode or anything! Just call in and say “hi”!

PiCast Episode 98 - Mother’s Day

Happy Mother’s Day! This is Brittany’s first Mother’s day as a mom. We take a bit of time to talk about our weekend and play a few voice mails. We also recap our Star Wars Themed Birthday filled weekend and Pinniversary last week as well as our Friend Bianca’s response to our Infinity War Review.

Next weekend we will be at WhedonCon all weekend. We are on a Panel on Friday at 4:00 in the Malibu Room called “Cosplaying House” about cosplaying with a family. After that we have a bunch of Buffy and Firefly Board Games to bring to Geeky Game Night! We’ll be there all weekend. We hope to see you there. Go to www.whedoncon.com for information about the con!

We are coming up on 100 episodes of the PiCast! Call in with your favorite moment or a topic for a future episode or anything! Just call in and say “hi”! Also, if you are the first person to call our voice mail and say the secret word from this episode, you will win a prize!

PiCast Episode 96 - Dapper Night Vale

It’s Brittany’s favorite SemiAnnual holiday, Dapper Day at Disneyland! We attended Dapper Day and the Dapper Day Expo at Disneyland for the first time with a BABY! We spent most of the time hanging out with our Dapper Bounding Friends.

We also went to the vintage inspired Dapper Day Expo at the Disneyland Hotel Convention Center. They still charged $10 and we didn’t get a discount. They also didn’t seem to have any panels this time. If it doesn’t add new vendors and grow, I don’t know if that’s worth the price of admission.

Here is a list of some of the many cool Dapper People with whom we spent our Dapper Day!

Did you attend Dapper Day? Do  you just like to dress Dapper? We want to hear from YOU!

Also, Scott went to a live show for one of his favorite podcasts: Welcome to Night Vale. He talks a little about that at the end.
