PiCast Episode 123 - Justin's Rise of the Resistance Voicemail

We are on our way to Disneyland this morning. We didn't have a chance to record a full podcast today but luckily, Justin left us an awesome review on our voicemail. He was able to preview the Rise of the Resistance Ride at Disneyland. Short and sweet today. Enjoy!

PiCast Episode 121 - Frozen 2: Electric Boogaloo

We spend a lot of time talking about Disneyland and Pinocchio this episode before we get around to discussing Frozen 2 but you know we ramble! We are debating trying to get back to a weekly podcast but that is so hard to find time to do. What do you think? Should we go back to weekly?

PiCast Episode 120 - Fall Dapper Day 2019

We had a great Fall Dapper Day weekend this year. As you may know, we missed Fall Dapper Day last year because we are finalizing the Adoption of our son. We got a hotel near the park and spent the entire weekend celebrating. The weekend started out a little rocky as you’ll hear, but it was, over all, a fantastic time!

On Dapper Day itself, we attended a meetup put on by @blackgirldisney, @boundersofcolor, and @afrosandpixiedust. They chose a spot in Toon Town by Roger Rabbit’s Cartoon Spin and the location was perfect. There was shade and a beautiful background of trees, plus a ton of wonderful people! We got to meet and take photos with many Instagrammers whom we have been following and made a bunch of new friends, too! This was probably one of the best meetups we’ve attended!

As for our outfits: Friday was casual. Saturday was Star Wars themed. Scott wore a Darth Vader (Anakin) Suit with a Red Tie by Opposuits and Brittany was in a Yellow and Gold Padme Amidala inspired ensemble. That would make Xander our little Luke! We were hoping for a little Leia to join our family, but we are still waiting on that call!

PiCast Episode 116 - Disney Days

Hello there PiCast fans! Sorry we were away from podcasting for so long. We are going to try to get back into it with a biweekly episode. Now that we have a 2.5 year old it is a little hard to find the time. Also, Big Announcement: we are back in matching! So we may have another little one running around the house soon too. Stay tuned to future episodes for more on our adoption journey! Please go back and listen to earlier episodes to hear our story so far!

This episode is about our day volunteering for Together We Rise, a fantastic organization that works with Foster kids. One of the things they do is take kids to Disneyland! We were part of 20 other teams chaperoning groups of 8-10 kids around the Happiest Place on Earth.

PiCast Episode 115 - Instant Family

We finalized our son’s adoption on November 3rd this year and we just watched Instant Family with Mark Whalberg and Rose Byrne. It was a very emotional film for us. We loved it and we talk about all the feels on this episode! Warning, there are spoilers, so watch the movie first then join us here for a chat!

If you have the heart for it, consider being a foster parent You can also suppoer @Togetherwerise, a great local organization here in So Cal. And check out @Graceelico on IG and Etsy for #AdoptLikeWalt merch and other adoption related items!

We got a sample from @MissJonesBakes that we discuss too! If you are looking for a quick brownie or cupcake, check her out on IG! Tell her you heard about it on the PiCast!
