Piecing It Together Podcast

On this special episode of Piecing It Together, Kris Krainock joins me to discuss our predictions, as well as our picks and movies we think were left out of this year's Oscar Nominations. For the sake of time we only did 9 categories (which kind of makes us worse than the Academy themselves who were planning on not showing all the categories on the air this year)... But we're only doing this episode out of obligation anyway.

As always, SPOILER ALERT for any movies we discussed!

Kris Krainock is a filmmaker and film fan who hosts Cinemondays, a weekly film event here in Las Vegas. Check out info on upcoming editions of Cinemondays at https://www.facebook.com/Cinemondays/

And most important of all… Keep going to the theater to see new movies!

On the 5th episode of the special episode series called Breaking It Apart, two members of the Las Vegas band Black Camaro, TG Miller and returning guest Brian Garth join me to discuss the 1939 classic The Wizard of Oz starring Judy Garland. Along the way we also discuss Black Camaro's new album "Protocol of Dreams" which just came out today. Puzzle pieces include Army of Darkness, Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory, Benji The Hunted and Pleasantville.

And for those keeping track of the Piecing It Together Podcast, just know that special series and episodes like this will continue to be a part of the future of the show, and we’ll continue figuring out the best way to brand them and tie them in to the overall puzzle theme as we continue doing them. While some special episodes will be a once in a while thing, Breaking It Apart will be a regular occurrence with its own numbering.

As always, SPOILER ALERT for The Wizard of Oz (and any other movies we discussed)!

Brian Garth and TG Miller are in Black Camaro.

On this Special Episode, we follow up our 46th episode on Serenity with another hour long conversation about what is sure to be the craziest movie of 2019 - Serenity. My conversation with Kristen Lopez was a perfect regular episode, but when friend of the show Joe Black said that he non-ironically loved this crazy movie, I had to do another episode.

As always, SPOILER ALERT for Serenity (and any other movies we discussed)!

On the 46th episode of Piecing It Together, I’m joined by a new co-host, film-critic Kristen Lopez to discuss what will almost certainly go down as the craziest movie of 2019... Serenity. This noir-tinged story about a tuna-hunting boat captain (Matthew McConaughey) who is asked by his ex (Anne Hathaway) to murder her husband, goes in bonkers directions you'll never see coming, all while going off the rails in glorious ways. Puzzle pieces include Interstellar, True Detective, The Breaking Point and Lawnmower Man.

As always, SPOILER ALERT for Serenity (and any other movies we discussed)!
