We try so hard to cover up our nakedness with titles, fame, vanity, and glory. In the end, we are just covering ourselves in vain with fig leaves, as did Adam and Eve. Pastor David proclaims that God has accepted us -- through Christ -- to cover our nakedness, remove our shame, and give us a new identity.

This week we hear a message from the book of Esther about Haman and his pride that led to his ultimate downfall. Haman’s pride is a reflection of our desire for acceptance which shapes our identity. Pastor David challenges us to humble ourselves and find our identity in the One who is worthy.

Pastor David once again shares on the idea of true fulfillment and satisfaction. He questions whether we are truly satisfied by Christ or if we are just going through the motions. He brings us to an imagery of a tree by flowing water whose roots are strong even in times of dryness. He leads us to find wisdom in how our spiritual lives can be like this tree.

Pastor David continues his message on the basic spiritual needs of all humans with the message of fulfillment. He shares his testimony of how he met Christ in his desire to find fulfillment in his own life.

This week, Pastor Pete shares with us the story of Jonah and uses Jonah's reluctance to remind us of how we are reluctant in face of God’s calling for our lives. He warns us against ignoring our purpose and urges us to obey the commission from God to save lives.

What is "true freedom?" This week, Pastor David reminds us of the true freedom that does not come from an inward motivation or desire. Rather, true freedom is one that comes only from the price paid by Christ Jesus.

Pastor David shares with us the importance of seeking a hope that "transcends our own tiny allotment of days and hours" in order to live a life that serves a greater purpose. He urges us to find hope in God and not in this world so that we can experience rejoicing even during times of our suffering.

In his first Sunday leading the PIF congregation, Pastor David Hong dives into the book of Philippians to outline the need for focus and prayer to help the church press onward and upward.
