According to investigators, at approximately 9:28 p.m. on Sunday, May 15, Broward Regional Communications received reports of a possible shooting at the Pacific Points apartments in Lauderdale Lakes. BSO deputies responded to the scene in the 3600 block of North Pacific Coast Circle where they found an unresponsive adult male in the front driver’s seat of a grey Mercedes Benz. The victim had sustained multiple gunshot wounds. Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue pronounced the victim, later identified as Emmanuel Tinoco, deceased on scene.

 

Through investigative methods, detectives were able to link Alexis Rupert and Neal Rice to the homicide and determined they had both fled to the Austin, Texas area. An arrest warrant was authored and the two were taken into custody.

 

On July 2, Rupert was extradited to Broward County. Shortly after, on July 6, Rice was also extradited. The two suspects were booked into the Broward Sheriff’s Office Main Jail where both face one count of first-degree murder. The investigation continues.
