On Today’s episode, we were joined by Plasma Physicists from Princeton, Dr. Brendan Lyons, to discuss what he has deemed “the holy grail” of energy production. On this episode, Sean and I asked Dr. Lyons a number of questions surrounding his research in the field of Nuclear Fusion, and how it works in the real world. This discussion of nuclear fusion’s implications, was followed by a live student Q/A. There, Dr. Lyons fielded questions around why he chose to be a nuclear physicist, details around the feasibility of fusion, and science in the age of Covid-19.

With the AP US history, tests one is bound to get lost in the forest of America’s complex history. We condensed the important information down into a podcast. The main point of this podcast is what happened in between the War of 1812 and The Civil War. It’s far too easy to forget the less tumultuous points in our history and we are here to cover it.
The war of 1812
Compromise of 1820
Monroe Doctrine
Market Revolution and new technologies (canal, factory system)
Andrdrew Jackson… X
Mexican American War
The Seneca Falls Convention X- this can be mentioned in context of reforms of 1840s with abolition-- could all be tied to industrialization and capitalism--invention of cotton gin and expansion of slavery
We used the textbook: "America's History 9th Edition" by Henretta, Edwards, Hinderaker, and Self

On Today's episode, we are joined by Ava Kotsen and Shaan Lehal. The two freshman will discuss their views of how climate policy should take place. They will answer questions such as: What role does technological innovation play in your vision for the future? Do you think Covid-19 increases a need for climate action or reduces its prioritization? How does your plan appeal to the average American?

China, Ally or Enemy? Julia Fu vs Andrew Wong
In today’s episode, Sophomores Andrew Wong and Julia Fu will be debating the contentious issue of America’s foreign policy with China. They will be asked to answer the question: What would ideal American trade policy look like? How should US foreign policy change in order to best anticipate China’s growing power, whether friend or foe. Is China uniquely dangerous from any other dictatorship? What if any blame should be laid on China for the Covid-19 crisis and what action should be taken? Andy will start this debate which will be followed by a live student Q&A
I hope you’ll enjoy!
