The 35th annual Mississippi Wildlife Extravaganza is a couple of weeks away and the PTC Podcast will be there! Extravaganza Director, Robin Carlin, joins the group for Episode 24 to give a rundown on what to expect at this year's event. Robin talks about the must see guests, as well as the different things to participate in. From handgrabbing catfish, turkey calls, big buck shows, to monster side by sides, the 'Ganza has it all!

For the second half of the show, Hunter brings up the political cry to repeal the Pittman-Robertson Act of 1937. Since it began, the conservation act has produced over $7 billion in total revenue, with $116 million of that going to Mississippi programs. Episode 23 details some new changes coming to Mississippi. Effective July 1st, the transport of live wild hogs is no longer permitted in Mississippi. Also, with the new velvet season coming in September, hunters will have to check each buck killed that weekend at CWD drop-off locations around the state. The annual Mississippi Alligator season isn't far away and the first group of lucky permit winners have been drawn. Ricky Flynt, MDWFP officer and director of the Mississippi Alligator Program, joins the show to discuss the selection process, as well as providing some data from years past. Ricky covers a wide swath of material and answers questions regarding rules and regulations. He also gives tips on the best way to prepare alligator meat for consumption. 

With it being Father's Day weekend, the guys decide to tell some of their favorite hunting stories with their dads. Hunter, as promised, delivers his public apology to Ole Miss Baseball Coach Mike Bianco after the Rebels clinched a trip to Omaha. Matt received his order from Lite Boots and the group discusses how incredibly light they are compared to any other boot on the market.
