For most of Mississippi, the rut is finished...but duck season is heating up! The guys take a trip to Float Road at the edge of the MS Delta for a little waterfowl shooting. Matt details the trip while he and Hunter poke fun at Ben's youth model shotgun. Hunter talks about turning his truck into a camper and Ben kills his first ever Mallard. In the last show of 2022, PTC chats with some college baseball players participating in the First Annual Big Buck Contest between Southern Miss and William Carey. WCU currently has a healthy lead, but there is plenty of season left! Matt joins the show in between taking care of a buck that his wife, Chelle, just killed. The players detail their six week fall seasons, as well as their thoughts about the upcoming spring. Crawford talks about his recent duck hunting trip to Arkansas, while Wilson discusses his recent success hunting deer. The guys, at the request of Chelle, tell what their favorite baseball movies are. A new "Idiot of the Week" is crowned, courtesy of Pennsylvania. If you compare the number of hunters from 1960 and 2020, the trend is unsettling for the sport of hunting. The group discusses some reasons for the potential decline of hunting in America, as well as "hunting out of necessity" rather than for trophies. Matt discusses his big weekend in the woods where he was fortunate enough to kill some ducks and a monster buck scoring 153". Most of us will hunt all of our lives and never see a buck like "Stickers", let alone kill one. This week's guest, Neal Cannon, details his buck of a lifetime. Cannon killed the 180" monster with his bow during the 2021 Illinois Archery Season. Cannon and Ben also discuss their time together as college teammates, and Neal's son, Colton, who just killed his own Mississippi giant- a buck scoring 156 inches.

During the first half of the show, the group discusses a rare disease in deer called "Bullwinkle Disease". This bacterial disease causes the deers face to swell up like, well...Bullwinkle. Also discussed is the recent study that killing more hogs may improve turkey populations, as well as the decline of hunting in America.

Ben's oldest daughter, Mackenzie, and Matt's oldest son, Neil, both join us for Episode 6 of Season 2. Both youngsters describe their first times to kill a deer while hunting with their dads. The PTC trio also tells of their first deer.

The show begins with a new Idiot of the Week, as well as detailing the new "Senior Adult" draw hunt that will be held in Mississippi this season. Ben vents his frustration with hunters posting pictures of deer online while saying, "It's not the biggest deer but..." and "you can't eat the horns anyway".
