Modern-day prophets are simply using foresight to predict human behavior. A pessimist will see doom and darkness. If we believe in the power of love we will see hope for the future that cannot be killed.

We can be overwhelmed with horrors from history (holocaust remembrance day -April 24) and fears about the future of our planet (Earth day -April 22). Rest to be refreshed, then get up and act.

Early Christians used the resurrection story as a metaphor for separating from base motives and living in a higher plane of values.

Jesus showed us that being fully aware of our humanity enables a life with great dignity and powerful spirituality.

We mourn our lost loved ones. Even Jesus wept, but the still-living God still gives life with blessings.

Love calls us to respond to the needs of this world. We may respond in quite different ways, but it is still a response of love.

We know what makes snow happen. It is not our moral choices.
