Alex clarifies that the previous album, Ilon, was written about the death of Ryan Irwin, the band's friend and co-founder. This album is about the grieving process and coping with his loss. In contrast, the current album has a story about a character called the illusionist, whose journey reflects mental health struggles, similar to what the band experienced with Ryan's passing.
