Pipes, Pours, and Pals

It's not every day that you come across something incredible, unless you're Nate. Some smokes and drinks are incredible, some not so incredible. One thing that is never not incredible is enjoying time with a pal. Relax and lounge with your Pals Nate and Justin as you sit back and enjoy an incredible smoke and an incredible drink. Wowza! We covered a lot of nothing this episode. Amateur radio, home improvement, hockey, fishy hands, a little tobacco, Nate losing his man-card, and even drinking urine. Boy howdy! You'd think we completely forgot about pipe smoking but I assure we smoked the entire time. Maybe, just maybe, one day we will begin to consistently keep on topic.

If it weren't for dads we wouldn't be here. We aren't the final authority on the definition of a good dad, but for sure a good dad is more than just the guy that brought you into this world. I'm not superstitious, but I'm a little stitious. Your pal Justin had a feeling we needed to skip episode 13 because it's supposedly unlucky. Against my better judgement we rolled with it. Wouldn't you know, the system stopped recording part way through one of the most pipe/tobacco relevant episodes we have recorded to date. We had our pal Christian on as a guest and had a very enlightening and helpful conversation on dealing with the stigma of smoking and drinking as a person with a super religious upbringing. We were able to salvage enough of the conversation that we'll use some of the clips to edit a future episode on the topic. Instead, you get to enjoy another episode of food talk and a plethora of rabbit trails! Enjoy!

Humans by nature are passionate. Passionate about specific sports and their favorite teams, passionate about their favorite brands, and some of us are even passionate about pipes and tobacco. We're all pals here. One thing I've always noticed when I'm with my pals is that there is ALWAYS healthy ribbing. Grab your pipe that somebody else probably thinks is built poorly, fill it with tobacco that someone else surely turns their nose up at, relax in your car that somebody probably thinks is junk or maybe sit in your easy chair that another person thinks is uncomfortable. What do you get when pals get together to chill, smoke, and drink? Well, in this case it's typically running headlong down rabbit trails just shooting the breeze and enjoying company. That's ok. We've embraced it. It's basically been 10 episodes of smoking lounge small talk and that's exactly what we wanted. We wanted a place based on pipes, tobacco, and drinks. Listen, in our defense we didn't eat before recording. Recording two hungry chubby guys probably wasn't the best call for a non-food topical podcast. That's the equivalent of grocery shopping on an empty stomach, it almost never goes as planned.
