While the Pipestone Area Schools gymnastics team didn’t score as well as it did at Jackson, the Arrows still won by a considerable margin. PAS downed Windom Area/Mountain Lake 127.425-110.400 in this Big South Conference home opener, posting especially strong numbers in the balance beam (31.775-24.2). “We took a little bit of a step back in our team score, but that is going to happen with different judges and gymnasts still adjusting to routines,” PAS head coach Stacie Wallace said in an email to the Pipestone County Star. Wallace said the Arrows are attempting to find the right balance of...

With 36.5 seconds remaining in the second half, sophomore guard Kenley DeWilde put the finishing touches on a Pipestone Area Schools’ victory. DeWilde knocked down a 3-pointer from the wing, and the Arrows easily downed Blue Earth Area 75-42 in first Big South Conference home game of the season. PAS opened the 2025-26 campaign with a 4-0 record for the first time in nine years — back when Rachel Skyberg, Alexis Evans and Kiaya Alderson were seniors. Now that’s a flashback. “Starting the year 4-0 is a great way to get the season going,” PAS head coach Grant Everson said....

Pipestone Area Schools’ boys basketball home opener didn’t quite go as planned — or even hoped. Five Blue Earth Area players canned 13 3-pointers as the Buccaneers defeated the Arrows 69-41 in this Big South Conference clash. BEA’s Will Bromeland swished five triples and teammates Sully Dahlberg and Ryder Dutton sank three 3’s each. “Blue Earth is a good team,” PAS head coach Michael Slaba said. “They spaced us out well, and moved the basketball. They didn’t let the ball stick around, and kept it moving.” Because of this, the Arrows struggled to rotate properly on defense — especially in...

JACKSON — Pipestone Area Schools head gymnastics coach Stacie Wallace said a realistic goal was a 130-point performance at any given meet. The Arrows are well within striking distance. PAS defeated host Jackson County Central 129.025-127.325 in the opening meet for both schools. What’s more, it was a Big South Conference victory to boot. “My first goal for our varsity team was to break 130, so posting a 129.025 at our first meet makes that feel very attainable,” Wallace said. “I think we will see that domino fall, and we’ll have to set a new number to chase.” Wallace said...
