The Pipestone Area Soccer League is currently conducting registration for the spring 2025 season. The league is for boys and girls from second through sixth grade. Registration cost is , with each player receiving a team jersey. Practices will be conducted at the new soccer fields located at the Paulsen Sports Complex, beginning in mid-April. WILLMAR — Aiden Wichmann has wrapped up his time playing on the Ridgewater College men’s basketball team. And Wichmann, a member of Russell-Tyler-Ruthton’s 2022-23 state championship squad, recently earned honors from the Minnesota Collegiate Athletic Conference. Coaches selected the South and North all-division teams, all-MCAC and all-MCAC defensive teams. Wichmann, a 6-foot-3, 195-pound sophomore, was named to the All-MCAC South Division team along with teammates DeAndre Holloway and Tyrese Mayo. Still, Douty should hold her head high as one of only 24 participants in the all-around competition Saturday at Roy Wilkins Auditorium. Gawerecki could have joined older brother, Seth Gawerecki, at Dakota State University in nearby Madison, S.D. Velde was listed as a graduate student in terms of academic eligibility. Recently, Velde was one of five players honored on senior night with a plaque. The Pipestone County Pheasants Forever chapter will be conducting its 40th annual banquet on Tuesday, March 25. The event begins at 5 p.m., with the meal to follow at 6:30 p.m. at the Pipestone National Guard Armory (421 Second Ave. SW).  The Pipestone County Pork Producers will be serving the meal. There will be countless drawings for hunting supplies.
