It's finally here: After weeks of slowly chipping away at it due to family events and the NFL forcing me to row in its hypothetical galley, the MLB Debriefing is only about a month late. Next year, it'll probably be two months late, knowing football and the sheer consumption of my will and being.That being said, this episode is dedicated to the eighteen teams in baseball that didn't get to sniff the postseason. These franchises have been mired in offseason planning and reflection for about two months now, and as the dust has settled, they can try to figure out what went wrong (or very wrong). The rebuilding, the tanking, the brutal disappointments (there were many), and the Rockies. All of them have a story to tell. Mostly comedies or tragedies, but stories all the same.Get ready for free agency. If the Pirates do anything, I'll be shocked.

A peaceful week of NFL football? One where this episode isn't over a half hour with craziness out the wazoo? I can honestly get used to this. Another week of NFL Football has come and gone. We still know absolutely nothing about the league hierarchy. Wait, I'm wrong. There is one thing that's certain: The Jets, Dolphins, Raiders, and Titans fucking suck. This is the only take that can be said with conviction as of now. Otherwise, the league is entirely drunk. Emphasis on extra late! Somehow it didn't get shelved until December this time? I don't get it either. Started on this project in early September yet it's still almost two weeks late. Gotta love it.Also gotta love hockey. Another season is about to begin as thirty-two teams seek to accomplish their respective goals: Be it from securing a top draft pick, making progress on their rebuilds, get back to the playoffs, or secure the glorious chalice that is Lord Stanley. Offseason moves made to get them there. Dreams surviving, even in the early goings of this year.This episode is in dedication of such a struggle. We won't figure much out until January or so, and even then, it'll be a grind. May these teams be blessed in their respective quests.

Who is a Super Bowl contender? Who will break out of the mosh pit to assert themselves as an elite team? Will the so-called favorites this year get out of their own way. The answer to all of those questions so far is no. This time, we get a year full of parity and fresh blood... by apparently going back to the mid-2000's in the AFC. The Patriots, Colts, Steelers, Broncos, and Chargers at the top? Sometimes to push to the future, you must look to the past.
