This week, Trav zooms out from the question “Who am I?” to the bigger and more important question: “Who is Jesus?”
In a culture that tells us to be the “main character” of our own lives, Jesus calls us to something radically different—to deny ourselves, take up our cross, and follow Him. That means giving up our claim to be in charge and publicly aligning our lives with Jesus, even when it’s costly.
Why would we do that? Because Jesus shows us that true life isn’t found in living for ourselves, but in surrendering to Him. Trying to “save” our life leads to losing it—but giving it to Jesus leads to real, eternal life.
Ultimately, the most important question isn’t about our identity, but about Jesus’ identity. If He truly is Lord and Saviour, then the only response that makes sense is to trust Him fully, live for Him boldly, and not be ashamed of Him.
