In Luke 9:51–62, Craig unpacks what it means to truly follow Jesus. As Jesus resolutely sets his face toward Jerusalem — knowing he will suffer and die — he shows himself to be both the promised King and the suffering Servant. Along the way, would-be followers reveal common excuses: comfort, delay, and divided hearts. Jesus challenges us to count the cost and follow him with everything we’ve got. Following him isn’t half-hearted, “that’ll do” religion — it’s a whole-hearted, all-in response to the King who gave his life for us.
