Three students were stabbed this morning at Carrick High School and police have a suspect in custody. In a statement, Pittsburgh Public Schools says three students were stabbed by another student with a small knife. Two students were taken to a hospital with stab wounds to their abdomens. A third victim has a minor cut and was treated at the scene and released. A student in custody also had a hand laceration and was treated at the scene before being transported to Police headquarters. Carrick High School remains in lockdown.

We're getting local reaction to President Trump recommending pregnant women should not take acetaminophen for pain relief. State Rep Abigail Salisbury told KDKA Radio she was diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder- ten years ago on the job.

She applauds the Presidents decision to put more research into autism however she has some concerns. She says she also supports considering both genetic and environmental factors when determining the causes of autism.

People gathered in Aliquippa Sunday at a vigil for 18-year-old Kendric Curtis. In a letter read to the crowd, Kendric's father said he feels his "son was targeted and wrongfully killed by the police." Leaders in Aliquippa are asking the community for patience as more information comes out.

An 18-year-old high school student was shot and killed by an ATF agent last night in Aliquippa. News Radio KDKA's Timira Rush has details. The incident occurred around 6:30 p.m. at Linmar Terrace during a joint operation involving the ATF and FBI. The victim, identified as Kendric Curtis, was airlifted to Allegheny General Hospital in critical condition and later died around 3 a.m. Mayor Dwan Walker spoke with KDKA-TV shortly after the shooting and is urging residents to remain calm amid the ongoing investigation. State Police issued a statement but did not disclose details about the shooting or the nature of the operation. The investigation remains in the hands of the state troopers.

We're learning more about Wednesday's shooting in York County that killed three police officers and critically injured two others. The deadly incident happened at a farm in North Codorus Township, where a woman reported Tuesday her ex-boyfriend was stalking her house. Police got an arrest warrant and restraining order but were ambushed trying to serve them. A shooter dressed in camouflage hiding in a cornfield opened fire, killing three officers. As he moved towards the farmhouse, two other officers were wounded. The shooter died in the exchange of gunfire. The names of the dead and injured have yet to be released.

Pittsburgh City Council is scheduled to vote this morning on next steps for developing a new public safety center. The proposed center in the Lincoln-Lemington-Belmar neighborhood would be built on the site of the old VA Hospital on Highland Drive. The idea dates back to 2018, during former Mayor Bill Peduto’s time in office. The city bought the property in 2021 for just one dollar — but there's a catch: it must be used for public safety or emergency management. The proposal has sparked significant debate. Proponents argue that the center would improve operational efficiency and bring much-needed modernization to law enforcement. Critics, on the other hand, caution that it may contribute to the militarization of the police. A preliminary vote is scheduled for later this morning.

The origin of the fire at the Jefferson Apartments in Squirrel Hill has been determined. The Fire Investigation Unit says the flames broke out in a basement utility room. The cause was electrical and accidental.
