For Mother's Day weekend, Leland and Spooky decided to check out the infamous 1981 campy-cult-classic flick Mommie Dearest. Nothing liking watching a biopic about a crazy woman who beats her kids with wire hangers!

Tune in as we try to understand where, how and why this happened.

But over all we wish all the moms out there a great day with their families.

Well this is the day Leland and Spooky have been waiting for The Avengers opens today. So in honor of that, we watched the 1998 classic The Avengers.

This is a truly terrible, terrible film that should never be seen again. Based on the 1960s TV show: this brought an old James Bond, Voldemort and Poison Ivy together on screen, and Spooky's never been the same. So drop on in and listen as we try to understand what was just going on in this movie.

Original broadcast date April 27, 2012. The original podcast post is here: https://pixelatedgeek.com/2012/04/movie-issues-american-outlaws/

This week Spooky and Leland take a trip back to the wild west to rob some banks and to be wanted dead or alive by the law. We take a look at 2001s American Outlaws. A young Colin Farrell, that guy from the Oceans movies, the Spirit and that chick from Heroes all get together and try to be the new Young Guns. Well that didn't happen. Come watch with us and you'll know why too.

Original broadcast date April 20, 2012. The original podcast post is here: https://pixelatedgeek.com/2012/04/movie-issues-the-beaver/

Well this week Spooky and Leland decide to take a trip into the world of "drama". They watched The Beaver. Yes.... The Beaver.

The film where Mel Gibson talks to people and his family though a puppet of a beaver. Yup. Not only was that movie made. We watched it. So join us as we try to understand this movie.

Original broadcast date April 13, 2012. The original podcast post is here: https://pixelatedgeek.com/2012/04/movie-issues-friday-13-jason-takes/

Well it was bound to happen again. Here it is, yet another Friday the 13th. So in typical Movie Issues fashion, we cover another Friday the 13th movie. This time we do 1989's Friday the 13th Part VIII: Jason Takes Manhattan. Or: it should be called "Jason Takes a Cruise" because he doesn't do much in the movie. This is a rough one, and Spooky gets a little sea-sick. Join us as we try to wade though this horrible plot and even worse effects.

Happy Friday the 13th everyone!

Original broadcast date April 6, 2012. The original podcast post is here: https://pixelatedgeek.com/2012/04/movie-issues-runaway/

Ever thought to yourself, "Man, I wish there were a movie in which Magnum PI fights that guy from KISS and the Evil Robots?" Well you're in luck!

Because that's what we give you this week: the 1984 "masterpiece" Runaway. A little forgotten film in which Tom Selleck is a cop who runs a police division with the sole purpose to stop malfunctioning robots. Throw in a kid, a hot Kirstie Alley, acid laced robo-spiders, Gene's tongue, and a stern female robot named Lois and you have a great night planned. Join us this week and as Spooky asks Leland," What the hell man?"

Original broadcast date March 30, 2012. The original podcast post is here: https://pixelatedgeek.com/2012/03/movie-issues-jumpin-jack-flash/

Hey there everybody! It's that time again where Leland and Spooky travel back in time to the world of the 1980s: a place where neon ruled, computers were the size of small cars, and everybody knew how to walk like an Egyptian.

This week, we watched the Whoopi Goldberg comedy "classic" Jumpin' Jack Flash, the story of one woman's struggle to help a spy get out of eastern Europe by any means necessary.

You read that correctly. So join us as we walk down the 1980s lane and remember the hardcore Whoopi...you know, before she became a nun.

DO THE MARIO! Swing your arm from side to side. Come on, it's time to go do the Mario.

DO THE MARIO!

Oh yes friends, you're reading it correctly. This week we fell down a couple of pipes and ended up watching 1993's Super Mario Brothers. Tune in to see if we can discover if this is an endearing movie from our youth that should be cherished or just a huge Bob-Omb that should never be watched again. So join us! Grab a meatball sub and your best cheap red wine and get ready to DO THE MARIO!

Well St. Patty's day is upon us! For some that means corn beef and cabbage, for others it means green beer....and lots of it.

Leland and Spooky decided to sit back, grab some Guinness and watch the traditional Irish movie Leprechaun. Come join us as we discuss the who's-who of famous Irish individuals and celebrate by drinking some delicious Irish stout.

Happy St. Patty's!
