  • Attack the Backlog: Streets of Rage 4

On this episode of Attack the Backlog, Marc continues punching, kicking, and throwing their way through the streets of Streets of Rage 4, the long-awaited sequel to the beloved beat 'em up series that only took 26 years to come out. Thankfully, it was worth the wait, taking much of what I loved about the old games, giving it all a fresh coat of paint, and making it better. Streets of Rage 4 originally came out on April 30th, 2020 for PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One. Anyway, something-something punchy, kicky, and a little bit flippy, cheers and enjoy the show.

  • Attack the Backlog: Streets of Rage Trilogy

On this episode of Attack the Backlog, Marc punches, kicks, and throws their way through the streets of, well, Streets of Rage 1, 2, and 3, the trilogy of beat 'em ups that are some of the best games the genre has to offer. The Streets of Rage trilogy originally came out during the 90s on Sega Genesis/Mega Drive and has since been ported to too many other platforms to list. If you want to play these games, you want have any difficulty finding a way to do so. Anyway, something-something grabby and anything but flabby, cheers and enjoy the show.

  • Attack the Backlog: Katana Zero

On this episode of Attack the Backlog, Marc slashes and dashes their way through the clubs and streets of Katana Zero, a 2D action-platformer where you play as a samurai-like assassin who, well, assassinates those who deserve it...or do they? Katana Zero originally came out on April 18th, 2019 for PC and Switch. Anyway, something-something I found a gun, but wait, what do I do with said gun, cheers and enjoy the show.

  • Attack the Backlog: River City Girls

On this episode of Attack the Backlog, Marc punches and kicks their way through the streets of River City Girls, a beat ‘em up that’s a spin-off of the Kunio-kun franchise (aka, River City Ransom and the like) where you play as bad ass women instead of bad ass men. River City Girls originally came out for PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One on September 5th, 2019, aka, my mother's birthday. Anyway, something-something cheap and making me say so many words you'd bleep, cheers and enjoy the show.

  • Attack the Backlog: Katamari Damacy Reroll

On this episode of Attack the Backlog, Marc rolls and rolls and rolls their way through the streets and seas and wherever you please of Katamari Damacy Reroll, a game where you play as the Prince, not “Party Like It’s 1999” Prince, and push a Katamari, which we all know is just a Bumble Ball in disguise, across the planet earth in order to recreate stars so you can put them back into the sky after your dumbass drunken father, The King of All Cosmos, destroyed them all. Katamari Damacy originally came out for PS2 on September 21st, 2004, and the remake, Reroll, came out for Switch and PC on December 7th, 2018. Anyway, something-something serious, it's a friggin' Bumble Ball y'all, cheers and enjoy the show.

  • Attack the Backlog: Super Mario World

On this episode of Attack the Backlog, Marc slips and slides their way through the hills and castles of Super Mario World, a little game you probably haven’t heard of where you play as a short stocky fella with a mustache who really likes to jump around. You could call him Jumpman, but that would be ridiculous. Jokes aside, Super Mario World is one of many 2D Mario platformers, originally coming out on August 13th, 1991 (in the States) alongside the launch of the Super Nintendo, and is often called one of the best games of all time, if not the best. Does Marc agree? Well, you'll just have to listen to find out. Anyway, something-something kinda cool and full of a toad's stool, cheers and enjoy the show.

  • Attack the Backlog: Control

On this episode of Attack the Backlog, Marc levitates and elevates while decimating the enemy and advocating endlessly for Control, the latest game from Remedy Entertainment, the same studio that brought us Max Payne 1 and 2, Alan Wake, and Quantum Break. Like their previous games, Control is a third-person action game and it’s amazing. Dear I say, it’s the best game Remedy has ever made. Control originally came out on October 27th, 2019 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One. Anyway, something-something fantastic and bombastic, cheers and enjoy the show.

  • Attack the Backlog: Hotline Miami

On this episode of Attack the Backlog, Marc punches, slashes, and shoots their way through the clubs, apartments, and restaurants of Hotline Miami, a top-down action game where you murder the shit out of everyone ‘cause violence is cool boy! Right? ...Right?! Hotline Miami originally came out on October 23rd, 2012 for PC and eventually made its way to Mac, PS3, Vita, PS4, Switch, and Android over the next seven years. Anyway, something-something murderous and better be ready to meet Cerberus, cheers and enjoy the show.

  • Attack the Backlog: One Piece: World Seeker

On this episode of Attack the Backlog, Marc stretches and gum gum rockets their way through the streets and skies of One Piece: World Seeker, an open-world action-adventure game set in the universe of One Piece, where you play as Luffy and get shipwrecked on Jail Island along with the rest of your crew. What follows is a traditional One Piece adventure that’s well written and fun to see play out, but, not so fun to play. One Piece: World Seeker originally came out on March 15th, 2019 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One. Anyway, something-something gummy and Luffy sure likes to fill his tummy, cheers and enjoy the show.

  • Attack the Backlog: Cat Quest

On this episode of Attack the Backlog, Marc purs and sheds their beard through the forests and fields of Cat Quest, a delightful little action-RPG that’s real purrrty and doesn’t overstay its welcome. Cat Quest originally came out for PC on August 8th, 2017, and quickly made its way to iOS, Android, Switch, and PS4. Sadly, the original game never made its way to Xbox One, but the sequel, aptly titled Cat Quest II, did and that’s how I first learned of the series. Anyway, something-something hairy and not at all scary, cheers and enjoy the show.

Anyway, that's it and that's all folks.
