Places! A Travel Podcast with Theatre People

Well, friends, we are coming up on our FORTIETH EPISODE, and we can hardly believe it! Thanks to all our listeners out there, new and old. We couldn't have done it without you.

On today's episode (how have we never done this before??), we chat about our dream destinations!! Since we cannot travel (or Jacob can't, at least), we dream as though we can. What far off, fantastical places would we visit if we had the chance and the unlimited resources to do so?

Check in next Monday for our big 40th. We love y'all. Stay safe.

Hello dear friends! Do you like what you hear and want to hear more of it? Then head on over to https://www.patreon.com/theplacespodcast and consider giving us a helping hand!

What's that...? The Places Podcast is talking about...a PLACE?!? Is this 2019??? NAY!

Your ears and eyes do not deceive you. Rob actually visited some places (he social distanced!), and we are going to talk about them. We know, folks. It feels like a miracle to us, too.

There's a lot more Italy to come, and at one point...we talk about...LIVE THEATRE!

Thanks as always for listening.

Rob is out of town this week, so we recorded some extra stuff last week so we could be sure to have this episode to you all on time!

This is part 2 of our Dream Roles episode, in which Rob and I talk about roles we hope to play when we're a bit older, as well as some parts we wish we could play together. In addition, at the end of this episode you'll hear a little sneak peak into Rob's ongoing trip to Italy, which we plan to cover in MUCH more detail on upcoming episodes. We hope you enjoy!

Thanks as always for listening.

This week on Places...the age-old Actor's question... "How do I look?" Only slightly less well-known: "What are your dream roles?" Well, on this week's episode we aim to answer that second question (because let's face it, the answer to the first is obvious: Rob looks hideous).

Look out for part 2 next week, along with a little preview of Rob's upcoming trip to Italy! That's right, we're going to talk about some PLACES on the PLACES PODCAST! A Coronavirus miracle!

Thanks as always for listening. We hope you enjoy!

Hello dear friends! We apologize for the late upload of this episode. Rob has taken ill (NOT COVID, don't worry), so he hasn't been up for recording the past few days. Luckily, he was able to pull through for a bit so we could record this for you!

For today's episode, we wanted to go back to our roots a bit and chat about our time on tour, and, more specifically, our first impressions of each other. There are those who are surprised that we ever became as close as we are now, so we wanted to talk about it!

For today's episode, Rob and Jacob go through Rotten Tomatoes' very professional list of the top 10 movie musicals and give you their invaluable thoughts. Is Rocketman a musical? Should La La Land be on this list? And, most consequently, which is the better movie musical...Singin' in the Rain or The Wizard of Oz?

All this and more on this very silly episode of the Places Podcast.

Last week Rob droned on about his life story. This week it's Jacob's turn! Let the record show that he hopes this is entertaining and informative, rather than boring and narcissistic. And also, he was pretty uncomfortable recording it, so cut him some slack ;)
