This week, we attempt to answer the age old question of "How are you gonna get fired on your day off?" That's right, we watched Friday!
This week we are stuck in the Big Apple and there's only one man that can get us out: Snake Plissken! That's right, we're returning back to the worlds of John Carpenter and Kurt Russell, because we watched Escape From New York. Will this cult classic hold up and stand the test of time? There's only one way to find out, so strap in boppers because we're about to find out!
This week, we all gathered to help celebrate 12 For A Penny's 100th episode! If you haven't listened to that yet, you should start there. We had the whole gang from that show over to join us in discussing the legendary, "This Is Spinal Tap!" Will this comic masterpiece stand the test of time? Probably, but you should still listen to find out anyway!
This week, Nick embarks on a mission to find Shred's brother, Mitch. A mission filled with danger and intrigue. But, will he find something bigger than he expected? A conspiracy that goes all the way to the highest parts of the government. Meanwhile, the rest of us watched Rat Race.
This week finds us traveling to the future of San Angeles as we try to figure out how the three seashells work! Join us as we talk about the Franchise Wars and Taco Bell, because this week, we're asking if Demolition Man holds up!
Seeing as we're not above being a little shameless and trying to pick a movie to coincide with another movie's release in an attempt to ride some coattails, we decided to revisit the 1995 feature film debut of the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. Will this movie from a franchise near and dear to all of our childhoods hold up, or will it go down quicker than a putty patroller with a giant "Z" on it's chest?
This week, we revisited Ron Howard's classic about parenthood that is actually called "Parenthood." Join us as we talk Steve Martin and, more importantly, Randy Newman.
Strap in boppers, because this week we are back to picking our own movies! And Shred (Alex) has picked a doozer! We're celebrating the 10th anniversary of Edgar Wright's Hot Fuzz. Marvel as real life friends Simon Pegg and Nick Frost make us believe that they can be friends in a movie!
So, we're probably all asking the same question: what the hell is Voyage of the Rock Aliens? Believe us, we had no clue either. Until, @dave_cactus went and won the fourth Obscure For a Penny Zero twitter tournament and forced us to watch the forgotten film of the 80s. So join us as we decide whether or not this movie that none of us ever even heard of holds up.
This week's movie was chosen for us by the winner of the third Obscure For A Penny Zero twitter tournament, @wheeltod aka Frank Whitehouse! He asked us to watch Miller's Crossing, which is the first Coen Brothers film we've done for the show. Will this classic neo noir film hold up? Find out this week!
