Following Jesus means being out of step with the world. Nonconformity requires nerve, so Christians need unity and fearlessness to become good representatives of the Gospel.

Our great goal in the Christian faith is the resurrection. A church that keeps it's eyes on the goal is a church that Paul would be thankful for.

Stewardship of our money means putting our money to work for the Gospel.

Generous giving is the natural outflow of a life that has experienced the grace of God.

All Christ followers are tasked with caring for and defending God's creation. Creation care is more than a job... it's an act of worship!

God calls each Christian to be a steward of the Gospel in his Kingdom. A steward is a caretaker of God's resources who uses God's resources responsibly and at the appropriate time.

Jesus prayed that we would be one. We may have failed at this in many ways, but Christian oneness is still possible if we begin with prayer for supernatural unity.

When Jesus prayed for God's will to be done hours before his death, he set an example for how we ought to surrender our lives to God. We have a choice each day: we can choose surrender or resistance.

Sometimes the world is absurd and frustrating in spite of God's promises. It's not fun, but Ecclesiastes gets that frustration and wrestles with it.

God is looking for people who fear him. As we follow Abraham and Isaac this week, we learn that people who fear God are marked by obedience to what he says and faith in who he is.

People who live by faith pray persistently.
