Planeswalkers Anonymous

This year WotC is pushing sets out really fast! We can hardly believe it's already time for a new one. In fact, last week I totally forgot that we needed to be doing a mechanics episode for the new set. So, this week you get a mash up episode. We talk a little about the new mechanics for this set and then we start looking the cards over and talking about all the ones that interest us. With this big a topic, not to mention cramming in another topic also, it's a long episode. So. buckle up and come along for the ride. If we skipped a card you liked, let us know at [email protected].

"'The time has come', the Walrus said, 'to talk of many things...'" and the time has come, once again, for Planeswalkers Anonymous to continue our series of On the Shoulders of Giants! This week we're highlighting a different kind of article. Our OtSoG series has generally featured strategy articles that teach you how to play. This week our subject doesn't teach you how to play but did change tournaments forever. Find out more by listening! If you have any questions or comments let us know at [email protected].

This week is Halloween! So, we didn't acknowledge that at all. Not even once. I hope you all have a fantastic Halloween, though! Instead of Halloween, we spent this episode talking about Secret Lairs and why people play Magic. What kind of experience do you want to have when you play Magic? Let us know at [email protected].

As soon as the decks for Worlds were posted Magic players started building them and testing them for themselves. Now that we know which decks have come out on top, and with a recent Standard rotation, the Metagame has started to settle down again. Don't worry. Crimson Vow is just around the corner to shake things up again; but, until then, we've got the metagame breakdown for you on Planeswalkers Anonymous. Check out the links to get some visual aids and listen for the detailed breakdown. If we left out your pet deck, write to us at [email protected].
