Planet FPL - The Fantasy Football Podcast

Suj & James review all the weekend action for Gameweek 27 and it was a difficult weekend for many Fantasy managers. But it wasn't all bad as Bruno Fernandes returned and Harry Kane hauled for the template.

The forgotten Gameweek 28 to come is assessed and it could be a good week for the maverick pick with not many standout captaincy options, plus should owners invest in Gareth Bale with the Welshman now in form? James identifies an interesting 4.3 prospect, outstanding Fulham reviewed and there is a deep tactical analysis of how United beat City at The Etihad.

There is more scrutiny than ever on decisions made by referees in the Premier League and on this Podcast Suj & James debate whether refeereing standards in the Premier League are at an all time low.

Plus, we discuss the human nature of refereeing, laws that aren't aiding officials and the prospect of what may happen in the future including being able to hear referee's conversation, something that already happens elsewhere...

In the first of two Podcasts reviewing all the Double Gameweek 26 action Suj & James discuss their FPL weekeneds & the big talking points from the 9 games plahyed so far in FPL's biggest ever Gameweek!

Disappointment for many Bench Boosters as Leeds were beaten by Villa but it's also been an underwhelming start for many Triple Captainers too with only Harry Kane from the popular selections returning and his 6 point return could well have been more. But the Tottenham forward was outshone on the day by Heung-Min Son & a starring performance from Gareth Bale. Bale is discussed heavily and there's caution stressed as well as praise delivered.

Plus, why Arsenal got their tactics spot on at Leicester, why Man Utd's big games aren't producing goals, West Ham's unfortunate defeat at Man City & important points on those battling the drop all covered as eyes focus towards the Blank weekend of Gameweek 29.

James welcomes West Brom correspondent Gemma Eno & Everton correspondent Sean Norton discuss the latest at their clubs and their GW26 meeting at The Hawthornes which is the second part of a double Gameweek for both.

For West Brom two encouraging draws since Gemma's last CotC appearance and there is now a sense of positivity albeit a mircale is required to avoid relegation. Sam Johnstone's prospects in the double are discussed and ahead of a run of 4 positive looking fixtures, plus the impact of Okay Yoksuslu & Mbaye Diagne are discussed and 2 interesting defensive options have emerged.

While for Sean & Everton there is joy following a first win at Anfield in 21 years but caution of inconsistencies ahead of the double with Southampton & The Baggies. Lucas Digne prospects are talked up, plus a look at alternative defensive options, Richarlison & Rodriguez importance and we ask if Dominic Calvert-Lewin can be trusted with the Triple Captaincy chip this coming week...
