Mara grew up with an abusive, alcoholic father. As a young adult she was attacked by a stranger at a gas station. At 21 years old she was looking for love in all the wrong places. Mara was 11 weeks pregnant when she went to planned parenthood for help. “We can take care of your ‘problem’”, they said. So she had an abortion. She will always regret her sins. God’s love has led her to receive His forgiveness, extend forgiveness to herself, her father and the man who assaulted her.

Today, a devoted follower of Jesus, she tells her own story of God’s love and mercy as she helps women who carry the burden of having aborted their child and as a cautionary tale for women considering abortion. If you wrestle with regret or forgiveness you will find hope in Mara’s story.
