This episode of Platt's Poetry serves to sound the alarm to all the Platts out there of the exciting events taking place throughout December 2021, like the upcoming Poetry Week for 2021, and also the upcoming release of our Poetry Book: A Poetic Dance on December 13th. 

Within this episode, we touch briefly on matters relating to the poetry book, then dive right into information on Poetry Week 2021. We explain the theme, and the idea that drove its conception as well as expressed an invitation for all poets and other artists to participate in our yearly Poetry Palooza.

Greetings one and all, welcome welcome welcome! This is Platt’s Poetry, more specifically our series Platt’s Portrait; if you haven’t guessed as yet my name is Platt. I hope that whenever and wherever my voice meets you, your day is drumming along at the perfect pitch, however, if the universe seems to be at odds with you today perhaps my short program will be able to cheer you up.

Today is the last day of this series, thus it’s the end of Platt’s Portrait. I may choose to do another podcast series in the future if you guys want me to, however, for now, this is the finale. And we are going all the way to where began the alphabet!

In today’s episode, we’ll be looking at some poems from my first poetry week back in 2020, that I held on my social media platforms to distract myself from the coming holidays. The book is titled off of the last poem within it, the poem is written using rhymes and rhythms as if a song and well I just decided to play on the beat of the poem and call it Poetic Dancehall. The book has 8 poems because I counted Sunday twice; they are not of specific themes, but they are beautiful to me and I hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoyed writing them.

In today’s episode, we’re going to be entering the beautiful world of Colours. Though I am a poet, I do find joy in paintings, especially those bedazzled in color. My favorite colours are blue and purple. Purple is my favorite colour only because it was my mother’s favorites and it reminds me of her. Blue, however, is by far the superior colour! 

In today’s episode, we’re gonna be looking at three poems from my book entitled, Shoot your Shoot. Now, a disclaimer these poems may change in the future depending on what my editor says but I doubt there will be any major changes so don’t worry yourselves.
