PlayButton808 Radio Show

Some more house, but with a twist. That's Mixt.Ape :)

Carrying on from last month's ThrowingShapes mix, but this time a little harder and darker.

A bit of a departure into the world of more commercial house here! But have no fear, there's back to back quality on show!

Some deep and electric house for this month's ThrowingShapes

After such a fun day at Gala In London yesterday, I thought i'd release June's RadioChini a few days early.

With the heat of the summer kicking in, there's nothing better than a selection of some of the coolest choons that the PlayButton record collection has to offer. Prepare to be drenched in the highest grade whirly soul funk guitars, strings bass and pleading vocals. Yes...!

Keeping with he traditions of mixing it up, we drop the BPM for May's Mixt.Ape and hit hard with a varied selection of hip hop from the PB808 vaults.

Part two of April's RadioChini is even deeper and even cooler Deep House.

As uploads have been a little sparse of late, the RadioChini April summary comes to you in two parts. This is PART ONE and it's lush and deep. Don't miss PART TWO later this week!

Better late than never! March's Mixt.Ape arrives from the funkier side of town. There's plenty to come in the next couple of weeks, so make sure you're subscribed.

(Don't miss Part One. Find it on Mixcloud and iTunes)

Part Two of 2017's top releases cranks up the energy and tempo enough to rock the biggest of dance floors, yet manages to swerve round the cheese. There's nothing but pulsing basslines, sharp stabs and spin-tingling builds here, spanning House, Deep House, Garage, a sprinkling of EDM and Drum & Bass. The standouts that'll endure way beyond 2017 are crackers like the MJ Cole's Chase & Status rework - Love Me More; one of my favourite deep disco tunes of all time, Closing Shot by Lindstrøm; arguably the filthiest electro triplet of Higher (Shadow Child), Rabbit Hole (Kiwi) and 4AM In London (DJ SKT); and to close out the 2017 review, what better than a goa-style spine tingler like Jaytech's Rocinathe and the rarest of 160 BPM love songs, I Will by DRS.

2017 was great!
