With the new added strand of Social and Emotional Learning the curriculum becomes even more student centered and holistic. This curriculum is a great example of what a curriculum can be when the focus is put on health, wellness and the whole child approach.

Dr. Desmon Delk (Instagram @HBCU_onthemove) comes on to discuss his work following experienced PE teachers who work with ELL's. It is a great podcast in learning some best practices of educators. Maybe you will pick some up, or maybe as a PETE professor it will spur you to seek out some professional development to re-imagine your program. 

CSPAP's are a hot topic in PE, there's a new book on this just out but what do we know about them? We've covered these a bit in the past but this time we are bringing one of the leading scholars in CSPAPs to the podcast. Dr. Collin Webster literally wrote the book on this! 

This article discusses PE teachers' perceived attributes of CSPAPs. The paper takes a different approach and the podcast speaks to both the researcher and the practitioner.

Social media as a tool to collect data? YES! Justin Haegele and Kevin Richards join for the second article club where we discuss research by Vicky Goodyear, Ash Casey, and Mikael Quennerstedt. This research article looks at a 6-year...yes, 6-year longitudinal study at one school and how they used continuous professional development within that school to help teachers implement cooperative learning. We discuss how research can be utilized in qualitative research among many other topics related to social media.
