Growing up is realizing you are the only person responsible for you. Developing a plan to nurture the relationship with yourself is key to becoming the person you want to be. In the meantime, however, there can be tension between who you’ve been socialized to be and the way you actually want to live–this tension requires our attention and tending. Particularly as we navigate the Loneliness Epidemic, it becomes increasingly pertinent to recognize how our relationship with ourselves may be affecting how we build community and fully show up in our life.
