This week's episode features Derek Galsband, a navy veteran, and podcast host. Derek hosts Once Upon a Boot, which shares stories of time serving. He interviews active duty and veterans to help humanize the military story. It's a great podcast, and this episode was a delight to record. Eddie McNamara wrote an article about imposter syndrome, which is how he came on my radar. As a columnist for Health Central, his imposter syndrome flares up when he sometimes feels like he has 0 business giving anyone advice. He is an author, a chef, a writer, and would subscribe to none of those notions if you asked him. He is also a former first responder. We had a great chat, and I am thrilled to share this for 2021. You can purchase his book here.

For this week's episode, I spoke with Sophia Z. Sophia is a civil engineer, and a delight to talk with. We discuss creating spaces when you feel there are none, and making things come into fruition when they don't exist. We talk about harnessing your power in a male-dominated field, and the notion of a work-life balance, and how that can lend into imposter syndrome. Plus, Sophia REALLY LOVES California, like a lot. So we talk about that too!
