Please Don’t Send Me into Outer Space

This week, Joel picked Repo Man from 1984, a science fiction movie that is really more about Punk and being Punk than anything out of this world. We were blown away by the amazing music, the fantastic art direction, and the underlying existentialism of it all. Emilio Estavez, Harry Dean Stanton, and the guy who played Joker's #1 guy in Batman. Aliens, violence, corrupted youth, car chases, what more can one ask for in their sci-fi films? Email; [email protected] Facebook: www.facebook.com/pdsmios Twitter: @outerspacepod

This week, we reached deep into the bargain bin and pulled out this jewel of a movie called Endangered Species from 2003. With the star power of Eric Roberts, John Rhys-Davies, and lady with gigantic breasts, you are guaranteed a quality movie watching experience. From the director of Witch Board and the Composer of A Talking Cat?!? we give you, Earth Alien!... I mean, Endangered Species!

This week, we finish out Spencer month by going mostly insane. Also, we watched the 1969 movie directed by Oscar award winning director Peter Watkins, The Gladiators, aka Gladiatorerna. Peter Watkins has a style all his own, crafting docu-dramas that deliver a socially conscience message that strikes true even today. So naturally we talked about Goldfish brand crackers. We'd like to thank Spencer Seams for his contribution to this podcast. He has helped boost our profile and given us excellent movie to chew on, and we will never forgive him. You can follow his work on twitter at @Matt_Seams. EMail: [email protected] Facebook: facebook.com/pdsmios Notes will updated later on our Facebook page

This week... you know what? I am still recovering from watching this movie a week ago. Stalker from 1979, a movie about some guys who go to a place and lie down in some uncomfortable areas. Did this movie predict the coming Chernobyl Accident? Is the pursuit of God only for those strong enough to endure the mystery of existence? Do I know what I am talking about? All of these question, and more, are not answered in this episode! email: [email protected]: facebook.com/pdsmiostwitter: twitter.com/outerspacepodShow Notes ep 34 Stalker-Chili DOg https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6Zm3cWIJsm4 -Pan Galactic Gargle Blaster http://hitchhikers.wikia.com/wiki/Pan_Galactic_Gargle_Blaster -Neverending story Horse https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vE8mFDabqD0 -2001 Beyond the Stargate https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ou6JNQwPWE0 -Brady Bunch Stage Fright https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jElVDJ2iV8c -DMZ https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Demilitarized_zone -Rothko http://www.markrothko.org/ -Swim/fan http://letterboxd.com/film/swimfan/ -Baron Harkonnen https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mWq15lDh8yM -I know you know what movie this is, I'm just be thorough http://letterboxd.com/film/citizen-kane/ -Brazil http://letterboxd.com/film/brazil/ -2046 http://letterboxd.com/film/2046/ -In the Mood for Love http://letterboxd.com/search/in+the+mood+for+love/ -Chernobyl disaster https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chernobyl_disaster -Shock the Monkey https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CnVf1ZoCJSo -Hodor https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_A_Song_of_Ice_and_Fire_characters#Hodor -Telephone Line https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=77R1Wp6Y_5Y -Mojave Phone Booth https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mojave_phone_booth -Emergency Preparedness http://meritbadge.org/wiki/index.php/Emergency_Preparedness -Predator vs Kevin from Home Alone http://knowyourmeme.com/photos/960604-4chan -Uncle Kevin http://gameofthrones.wikia.com/wiki/Kevan_Lannister -Terrence Malick https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Terrence_Malick -Lemonade https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lemonade_(Beyonc%C3%A9_album) -Stalker Music https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pP1QXKbhqr4 -Example of Picard Flutin' https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p3FgJztHqFE -Anchorman Flutin' https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_c_ufaxeSTs -Movie Joel couldn't remember http://letterboxd.com/film/kanal-1957/ -Does the Dog Die https://www.doesthedogdie.com/ -Letterboxd Sci-fi http://letterboxd.com/films/genre/science-fiction/by/rating/size/small/ -Rotten Tomatoes http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/1043378-stalker/ -Bedtime Story https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CSaFgAwnRSc
