As we close out our 1984 episode, we finally face Winston’s fate… or do we? Maybe the real takeaway is that we’re all reading slightly different versions of the same story. Whatever it is, the slogans of Oceania hit a bit too close to current events for comfort. 

The latter half of this book digs into spirituality, the distinction between brain and mind, and negative near death experiences. While we discovered far too many ways to die in the process, the takeaway from these testimonials is surprisingly comforting: death is not to be feared.
