It was a pleasure having return guest, Tony Walker on the show for episode 53! Tony joined us back on episode 12 to talk about hunting, farming, and he and his wife's hunting show--The American Way TV. This go round, Tony told us some hunting stories from 2019; discussed the partnership between Bane-Welker and The American Way; discussed food plots and the machinery he uses; and gave us a look at what he's looking forward to as this year continues to unfold.
This episode, Tyler Wilson (aka, Tomás) and Matthew Bane discuss a few articles involving Secretary of Agriculture, Sonny Perdue. One reports on the recent bill to reintroduce whole milk into public schools and the other talks about making this week "Grain Bin Safety Week." Lastly, they converse about the most boring couple weeks in sports and give a few previews for upcoming main episodes of Plowtalk. Thanks for listening!

This is a follow up episode in which Phil and Jason expand on the discussion about sales from episode 51. They bring up topics like the high level of knowledge customers possess when it comes to pricing equipment, how sales ought to carried out (the philosophy of sales), and what it's like being in the customer's shoes when a salesman comes knocking. These topics and more make episode 52 a great follow up on this important subject
Thanks for listening! This round Tyler Wilson (aka, Tomas) and Matthew Bane discuss the perspectives young farmers have on 2020 after experience 2019, whether or not organic products (such as beer -- see the article) will provide long term sustainability in agriculture, and the recent "(non-) apology" from a member of the Astros.

This episode marks the beginning of a short series on the department of sales, with Phil and Jason Bane as the main contributors. Broadly speaking, this episode is about selling farm machinery, but the lessons here translate into any sales arena.
It is great to have Tomas (Tyler Wilson) back for this episode, albeit he had to call in. Nonetheless, he and Matthew discuss double whammy of the Coronavirus and food shortage in China, new farm crime-prevention technology, and Tomas' thoughts on the Chiefs becoming national champions.

We kept it very "PC" for this one, being as we interviewed HR. All jokes aside, we had an excellent time speaking with the three main people behind Bane-Welker's Department of Human Resources: Jay Snodgrass, Tyler Wilson, and Brooklyn Hottell. We discussed the purpose of HR, recruiting, growing and molding company culture, and a number of other topics.
This episode we hit a myriad of topics from corn prices to trucks to auction prices to Super Bowl 54. Enjoy the ride!

When a local farmer is willing to go by the name, "The Village Idiot" and "The Hippie Farmer" on Twitter and is able to gain over ten thousand followers as such, he's basically begging for us to invite him on the podcast. So we did. However, there's far more to discuss with the man behind the Twitter name than social media. Joe Mills is a local farmer who is thinking strategically about the market for organic farming and in 2015 dove head first into that world. Listen in as Phil and Matthew have a fun conversation with this forward thinking farmer.
Tomas is back. He and Matthew discuss the recent controversial push from Starbucks concerning dairy, Kubota's autonomous concept tractor, and Samsung's file sharing improvements. Enjoy!
